"Nothing comes from nothing - except pocket lint" as the Danish humourist Robert Storm Petersen said.

That holds true for the flourishing populism in today's world.

The soil where populism grows is fertile these years. Inequality is increasing and there is growing frustration with society's elites after the crisis. Many people experience a rising feeling of being marginalised.

The trade unions have a special possibility and a great responsibility to lead a dialogue with their members who voted for the populist parties.

Nordic IN forcused on populism during the Nordic Forum in 2017, and I presented the paper you will find under Articles in the menu above.
